M2C Institute for Applied Media Technology and Culture
The M2C Institute for Applied Media Technologies and Culture at the University of Applied Sciences Bremen is an innovative research institute fusing the perspectives of applied media science with computer sciences, art, social and cultural sciences. More than ever, digital media embody the link between the individual and society, work and economy. The relevance of digital media in an interdependent society becomes apparent where new cultural practices, new working processes, new interdisciplinary research and the generation of innovative products, constitute the vital conditions for actionability in a situation of global integration.
The M2C Institute's main research focus is on the link between innovative ideas and economic, social, ecological and cultural development. We support the integration of people – old and young – citizens, experts, artists and creative activists into the re-design of our urban environment. The M2C Institute is the lead partner of the European think tank „Think BETA – Evolution of Smart Cities“. The M2C Institute works in the development of international R&D cooperations and offers consultancy in innovation, organizational, and management development to universities, NGOs, government, SMEs, and cultural institutions.
The M2C contributes actively to scientific research and development of systems and strategies for the development of our common future.
